Ongoing Volunteer

We have a variety of options for our ongoing volunteers. Examples include helping to monitor the front lobby, playing games or doing art with the youth, assisting in preparing and serving our daily meal, sorting donations and more.  Do you have a special talent or skill that you would like to share? Perhaps you play an instrument, are great with a sewing machine or like to bake? We would be happy to talk with you about the many different opportunities to be involved at 6th Street.

Requirements to be an ongoing volunteer include:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be willing to complete a criminal background screening
  • Be willing to commit to a weekly shift for at least 6 months
